Creanme o no me crean, pero esta historia es verdadera:
Hacía algún tiempo que me dedicaba a la ilustración pero lo que más anhelaba, era hacer un libro. Un LIBRO ilustrado. Lo deseaba mucho. Esperaba paciente (a veces impaciente) pero no tenía la certeza de si un día llegaría.
Y llegó.
Y como es la ley de Murphy, el mismo día que me confirmaron que yo haría las ilustraciones de Anselmo Tobillolargo, para ediciones SM de Argentina, escrito por Cristina Macjus, ese mismo, mismísimo día, recibí una propuesta de Alfaguara de Puerto Rico para ilustrar un bellísimo cuento: "Pablo y su mangosta" de Georgina Lázaro León.
Es una cosa muy extraña que lo que uno desea mucho, tarde en llegar, pero llega y con creces. Que suerte eso, no?...
Ahora ordenando un poco en mi estudio, encontré los bocetos para este libro y queria compartirlo, ya que nunca nadie los vio.
Believe me or not, but this story is true:
For some time I devoted to the illustration, but what I wanted most was to make a book. A book with illustrations. I wanted so much. I waited patiently, (sometimes impatiently) but wasn't certain whether a day would come.
And it was.
And, as murphy's law, the same day I confirmed I'could do the illustrations for "Anselmo Tobillolargo", written by Cristina Macjus, for Ediciones SM in Argentina, very same day I received a proposal from Alfaguara in Puerto Rico to illustrate a beautiful story "Paul and his mongoose" by Georgina Lázaro León.
It's a very strange thing that, what you want much, it takes some times, but it comes grown up.
Lucky that, right?...
Now ordering a little in my studio, I found the sketches for this book and I wanted to share them, because nobody have seen them yet.
